'Hello, I’m Sarah-Jane Murray, the proud founder of Vocus Vit.
My journey began in Omagh, County Tyrone, where I grew up as an only child. After completing my studies, I ventured to Australia in 2017, eager to explore new cultures and meet new people. During my five years there, my awareness of sustainability deepened. I began researching and designing what would become Vocus Vit, driven by a passion to make a positive impact on the environment and challenge the fast fashion industry.
Upon discovering the staggering waste and environmental damage caused by fast fashion, I felt compelled to create a brand that embodied my values of sustainability, ethical production, and empowering women. Vocus Vit was born out of a desire to offer stylish, high-quality activewear that doesn't compromise on ethics or sustainability. Each piece is made from eco-friendly materials and produced in factories committed to ethical practices.
The name "Vocus Vit" reflects our mission. "Vocus" signifies a dedication to serving the world and advancing humanity. The challenge is to achieve lofty goals while recognising the good we’re already doing. With "Vit," a play on the word "fit," we emphasise our commitment to active, healthy lifestyles.
Since returning to Northern Ireland to have my son, Albie, I've continued to grow Vocus Vit, blending my passions for fashion, sustainability, and community. I’m incredibly proud of the strides we’ve made and excited about the journey ahead.
