About our Bushmills Studio Store
This store is open and holds our full range of available Taylor Yates products and collections. In store we also offer products from other brands we love such as Stories Parfum, The Knotty Ones knitwear, Maison Berger home fragrance lamps, and more. Private appointments are available on request, where you have the option to avail of a personal shopping experience with one of our team members.
This shop is adjoined to our neighbours, The Designerie, and is wheelchair accessible.
We have worked hard to ensure our store and team are able to welcome you safely.
We look forward to welcoming and meeting you in-store.
Designing our studio store
Designing our studio store
Our first physical space was a 3 X 3 metre pod in Makers house upstairs above our neighbours The Designerie, we quickly outgrew the space but it helped us learn what we needed. When the space next door became available we instantly knew it was perfect for the first Taylor Yates Studio store.
The concept is simple, we have a studio space at the back of the store where we can work, design, create and collaborate whilst having a retail space at the front to showcase our collection and meet customers.
We wanted the space to be contemporary, beautiful, stylish and inviting, a welcome and unexpected surprise from the traditional village of Bushmills where we are based.
The concrete table that's central to the space came from Copenhagen to add the scandi vibe that we love.
We believe that it's the welcome and team that make the difference, so read on down and meet the team below
Meet the Team
Meet KAREN, Founder.
Over the past 5 years, Karen has shown that it takes a great deal of hard work and determination to make your own business work. Nyree and Jess often joke that they don’t know how Karen keeps up with herself.
Meet ELLEN, Co-founder.
It’s not often that you actually see the faces behind a brand, but you couldn’t say that about Ellen. If you’ve visited us in-store you’ve likely chatted to Ellen, and if you have, you can tell how passionate she is about Taylor Yates and their work.
Meet NYREE, Store Manager.
Our amazing store manager, Nyree, joined us in April just after the lockdown was lifted. Nyree has over 22 years of experience in the retail industry, she has brought new levels of organisation to the TY team, she loves a to-do list and customer service is her superpower.
Meet AINE, Marketing & Design.
Aine joined the team in April 2022, after graduating from Belfast Met. Aine instantly got to work, getting to know all things Taylor Yates, creating content, working on new shapes and the launch of our first knitwear collection. She keeps the wheels of the TY Social channels moving and is always ready to help, say hi to her if you see her in-store.
Make a day of it
There are many special places to visit around the North Coast, and our team has tried and tested the majority of them. Within Bushmills itself and the surrounding area there are plenty of eateries, and attractions to visit. Here are a few of our recommendations...
Giant’s Causeway - This infamous World Heritage Site lives just a five minute drive from our Bushmills Studio Store. Enjoy walking (or taking the bus) around this breathtaking natural attraction to get a different perspective of our stunning coastline. Giant’s Causeway, Bushmills, BT57 8SU.
Bushmills Inn and Restaurant - The ideal place to warm up after a blustery walk around the Giant’s Causeway. We recommend sitting by the open fire in the lounge, or front bar while having a pint of Guinness or one of their cocktails. Bushmills Inn and Restaurant, 9 Dunluce Road, Bushmills, BT57 8QG.
Tartine at the Distillers Arms - The perfect spot to indulge in some comfort food after your visit to Taylor Yates, only a quick 3 minute stroll away. Tartine has hosted our Beautiful Purpose Charity Lunch several times, and is a firm favourite of ours. Tartine at the Distillers Arms 140 Main Street, Bushmills, BT57 8QE.
Royal Portrush Golf Club - If you’re visiting us with a golfing fanatic, you might persuade them to do a spot of shopping with a promised round of golf at RPGC after. Host of the 148th Open Championship, and confirmed host of the 153rd Open Championship in 2025, this is a challenging links course golfers wouldn’t want to miss. It’s only a 10 minute drive away after all! Royal Portrush Golf Club, Dunluce Road, BT56 8JQ.
