Taylor Yates bags are made by Pittards, a leather company based in Somerset with a fine heritage but also at the forefront of technology and innovation.
Leather production raises sustainability issues and Taylor Yates wanted a supplier that complies with environmental practices within the leather industry. Pittards is a long established leather producer with trading links to Ethopia that date back 100 years. Pittards provide community wide support for employees such as on site clinic and resources for schools.
The leather for our bags is of a carefully constructed strength, with a special WR100X water resistant /repellant finish which dries off soft. Pittards WR100X performance leather has a structure which maintains its natural breathability, beautiful look and butter soft feel.
The lining is Alcantara, Made in Italy and composed of 68% polyester and 32% polyurethane giving it increased durability and stain resistance. The appearance and tactile feel of the material is similar to that of suede.
The metalwork is specifically designed and created in gunmetal with Italian and Swiss luxury zips.
The Butterfly Mark
Taylor Yates believes that “Choice should not be a luxury only afforded to women born in the right country or to the right family, it should be available to all”
We are committed to supporting Women For Women International, a nonprofit organisation helping change the lives of women globally.
We also believe in sustainable practices and for this we have been awarded the Butterfly Mark powered by Positive Luxury.
