Our Manifesto - Part 5

We give back to the communities where we design, source and manufacture. Taylor Yates was founded with a beautiful purpose and a goal to give back with every product as we grow. In 2020 we took it one step closer to this goal by partnering with Tree App, over 2500 trees later we plant one for every bag sold and the team plants one each every day. 

We launched our first collaboration in 2021 with Glow NI, a local women's charity based in Belfast. Glow NI helps young women and girls to develop their self-esteem and self-confidence through organising workshops and developing their life skills. We hold events every year to help raise funds for Glow NI. This year we held our biggest event yet the Taylor Yates Collective, bringing together local Northern Irish brands to create a pop up department store. The event was a huge success and we will continue to work together to raise money and spread awareness. We also now sell the Chara Clutch and Chara Hoodie, named after the founder of Glow, both in store and online where we give money for each one sold to Glow. Every product we sell will give back something that we believe will have a positive impact in the world.

Building a socially responsible business is about realising the impact you can have. It may not always be the easy option but staying in line with our values is how we continue to stay focused on the end goal of developing a sustainable business that supports slow fashion and that will make a difference.
